Artwork by 22 Tulsa-area children will be on display alongside works by children from 11 countries on four continents at the Center for Creativity, June 2 – July 27. The public is invited to a free reception celebrating the exhibit opening on Friday, June 3 from 5 – 7 pm, courtesy of the TCC Foundation. Free parking is available in any TCC lot.
Tulsa children created artworks inspired by the theme “Summertime!” and include paintings, drawings, photographs, and collages. The international children’s work was collected through a collaboration between the Center for Creativity and The Flower Girls, an NFT collection of 10,000 unique works of art by Varvara Alay, celebrating beauty, diversity, and charity. The NFTs were printed on canvas for display, courtesy of The Flower Girls. At the end of the exhibition, the canvases will be donated to local non-profit organizations.
The exhibition coincides with the Center for Creativity’s “Recess!” series, free movement-based intergenerational workshops designed to give families a fun indoor activity during Oklahoma’s hottest month, July. More info about the “Recess!” series will be available soon.
