Beginning the higher education journey at a community college is often an affordable and accessible option for students today. However, with more students looking to community colleges, it is imperative that the path to a bachelor’s degree is paved and ready to welcome transfer students with a smooth transition. In order to first understand how to adequately support transfer students, we must first understand the barriers they encounter. Dr. Wyatt will present her research on “Identifying Community College Transfer Student Characteristics Associated with Graduation from a Four-Year Institution” and invite participants to share transfer support strategies on their own campuses.
